About my Counseling practice
Lynne is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina and has been counseling for 19 years.She graduated with an MS in Counseling at Cairn University in Pennsylvania. She has an MA in Christian Education from Columbia International University in South Carolina, and a BS in Music Education from The King’s College in New York. Special training includes: Cerny-Smith stress assessment, Prepare Enrich marriage assessment, and Child Safety Protection Network certification.
Lynne interned at The Barnabas Center in Charlotte. She worked at Family Preservation, a mental health agency, and Accordance Psychological in Rutherfordton, NC. Most recently she worked at One12 Counseling in Charlotte. Presently, Lynne counsels with a non-profit, World Team and has a private practice.
Lynne counsels individuals, couples, and teenagers 13 and older. She works with those experiencing relational difficulties, anxiety, depression, sexual and emotional abuse, grief and loss, trauma, transitions, chronic illness, and ADHD. Lynne also counsels with those needing help with cross-cultural stress, debriefing, and burnout in ministry.
Using an eclectic approach in counseling, a few of the therapies Lynne utilizes are: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Art Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy. Her approach integrates psychological principles with a Biblical foundation.
Tragedies and disappointments deeply impact our minds and bodies. At 22, Lynne received counseling after surviving a car accident. Through the grief process, God’s comfort gave her a desire to counsel other hurting people.
